Founder / Instructor

Ms. Jin has had numerous listeners and students of her violin performances and lessons. Her much talked about enthusiasm in music originates from her expert skills in violin and in-depth knowledge in music education. She was born in a small rural Chinese town but picked up violin since young and gradually engaged herself in various local and national musical performances. Playing music provided her with much energy and inspiration and allowed her to play in world-classs venues, including the famous Shanghai Lyceum Theatre, the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, and the Morman Tabernacle in Logan, UT.

Ms. Jin has also accumulated a wealth of experience teaching violin to students of all ages. After her Masters, she worked as a university instructor teaching young adults in her hometown of Anhui, China. Subsequently, she moved to Shanghai and taught violin to kids from China and other countries. Her experiences allowed her to combine traditional teaching methods with enthusiastic and inspirational elements, which made her students enjoy music, love music, and share music with confidence.

In 2013, Ms. Jin moved to the U.S. with her husband and stayed in Utah. In 2017, she moved again to Connecticut. In her journey, she was influenced by the cultural freedom of this country. As she learns the local music cultures, she also actively spreads traditional Chinese music in the places she stayed. She frequently involves herself in local orchestras and solo performances, as well as many music education activities. She inspired many people, “Music contains no borders.” Where there is life, there will be home. Where there is home, there will be music.

Before Jin moved to Connecticut I worked with her in our public string program.  She was also my private violin teacher.  She is an excellent teacher with all age groups!  Her musical education and background are evident when you hear her play.  She plays with a passion, beauty and skill that is indeed rare. Even though she has the skill and ability to teach advanced violin students, she is equally wonderful as a teacher of younger children.  She is patient, pleasant, encouraging and enthusiastic.  She is a talented analyst and knows how to move individual students, at whatever age and stage, to greater proficiency.  I have greatly missed her as a co-teacher and as my private teacher, and recommend her whole heartedly as a wonderful violin teacher in any capacity.
